About Us
The Illinois Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and
Dance, was founded in 1931 by a group of professionals dedicated to improving
the effectiveness of health, physical education, recreation, dance and
the promotion of human welfare.
This site has been established to provide access to organizational materials
as well as information on upcoming events.
IAHPERD's Mission Statement
The Illinois Association for Health, Physical Education,
Recreation and Dance will provide professional support and guidance
to individuals throughout the state as they develop and conduct programs
for the well-being of people in health, physical education, recreation
and dance.
